Instant coffee has evolved considerably from its reputation as a lower-tier product. Today, high-quality spray-dried and freeze-dried instant coffee is in consistent demand across food service, hospitality, office coffee service, and retail private label channels throughout the United States and Canada.
Why Bulk Instant Coffee
For food service and hospitality operators, instant coffee offers significant advantages over traditional brewed coffee in certain applications. Preparation is fast and consistent, equipment investment is minimal, and product shelf life is considerably longer than whole bean or ground coffee. For high-volume operations — hotel banquet services, airline catering, institutional food service — these advantages are substantial.
Understanding Order Quantities
Bulk instant coffee is available in a range of order sizes to suit buyers at different scales:
- Case quantities — A single 55 lb case is our minimum order, suitable for sampling, small operations, or buyers evaluating a new supplier.
- Pallet quantities — Multiple cases per pallet, delivered by LTL freight. A practical entry point for mid-size distributors.
- LCL container shipments — Less than container load, sharing container space from origin. Good for buyers who need more than pallet quantities but are not yet at full container volume.
- FCL — 20-foot container — A full container load. At this volume, per-unit pricing is significantly lower and the economics of direct import become compelling.
- FCL — 40-foot container — Maximum volume per shipment. The preferred choice for large distributors and importers.
Pricing Terms Explained
Bulk commodity buyers are accustomed to incoterms, but it is worth clarifying what each means in practice for instant coffee imports into the US and Canada.
FCA (Free Carrier) — Florida warehouse — All-inclusive pricing to your warehouse door. Freight, insurance, import duties, and customs clearance are all handled and included in the price. The simplest option for buyers who prefer a single landed cost.
FOB origin — Price at the origin port of loading. The buyer arranges and pays for ocean freight and insurance from that point. Best for buyers who have established freight relationships or prefer to control their logistics.
CIF destination port — Cost, insurance, and freight are included to the destination port. The buyer handles import clearance and inland delivery. A middle ground between FCA and FOB.
Documentation and Certifications
Every shipment from All American Coffee LLC comes with a complete document package. Certificate of Analysis (COA) is issued per production lot. Kosher certification is available. For container shipments, standard trade documentation includes the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin.
